AMP Core Program Partners
The total budget for this program is around 45 million dollars in grant funding and there is an initial set of core partners involved;
- The Global Environmental Facility, the GEF, is the first and main donor behind the program.
- UNDP, as the lead Implementing Agency, is providing funding from its TRAC resources, and will also be executing the regional project
- Another core partner is the Rocky Mountain Institute, a top RE think-tank in the US. RMI is active in the minigrid space in Africa particularly in Nigeria and Ethiopia. They have been a design partner and will bring the expertise to bear in the execution of the regional project
- We also have the African Development Bank which is an implementing agency for a couple of the national projects, and will be providing parallel financing for the program
- Finally, we have the national government Implementing Partners. With a few exceptions, all country-level activities will be implemented either by the energy ministry, or the Rural Electrification Agency
- We see many opportunities to bring additional partners and funding to this program

NATIONAL GOVERNMENTS - IMPLEMENTING PARTNERS
- National implementation of all national projects (except Somalia and Madagascar)
